Ongoing WordPress security: keep the site secure after the work is done
A cleanup or a hardening review is a snapshot. WordPress sites change every week: new plugin versions, new users, new vulnerabilities. Managed WordPress Security keeps someone looking after the things that usually go unchecked.
From $79/month. Scoped to your site; the monthly price depends on its size and setup.
What Managed WordPress Security includes
This is exactly what the monthly plan covers. We don't list services we don't provide.
WordPress update oversight
We keep an eye on WordPress core, plugin and theme updates so security fixes don't sit unapplied, and so updates are handled in a considered way.
Regular security checks
Recurring checks of the install for the kinds of problems covered in our hardening work: accounts, plugins, settings and exposure.
Backup verification
Checking that backups exist, are recent and are usable, because the first time you find out a backup doesn't restore shouldn't be during an incident.
Ongoing maintenance and risk review
Keeping the site in a healthier state over time and reviewing risk as plugins, users and the site itself change.
Most security problems are maintenance problems
A site that was clean and hardened in March can be exposed by June. A plugin you installed for one campaign stops getting updates. A contractor's account is never removed. A backup job quietly starts failing. None of this is dramatic, and all of it is how WordPress sites are typically compromised.
Ongoing protection doesn't make a site unhackable. It shortens the time known weaknesses stay open and makes sure a restore point exists when you need one.

Managed WordPress Security
The monthly price depends on the size and setup of the site. Send us the details and we'll tell you what it would be for yours. Emergency cleanup after an incident is a separate one-time service, from $199: see malware removal.

Getting a site onto the plan
Tell us about the site
Send the URL, the hosting provider and anything you're worried about.
We look at what's there
Because ongoing protection works best from a known-good starting point, we look at the current state first. If the site needs a cleanup or hardening, we'll say so.
Maintenance begins
Once the site is in good shape we maintain it and report on what we find.
Ongoing security FAQ
Is this the same as a security plugin?
No. A plugin runs inside the site and reports on what it recognises. Managed WordPress Security is people reviewing updates, accounts, backups and risk over time. They can complement each other.
What if my site is hacked while I'm on the plan?
Cleanup after an incident is a separate service, from $199. See malware removal. We'll tell you how the two relate for your site when you ask about the plan.
Can I cancel?
Please ask when you enquire; the terms for your site will be confirmed in writing before anything starts. Our general terms are available on the site.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. See WordPress security for agencies.
Tell us about your site
Send a short message: your website, what you're seeing, and who hosts it. We'll get back to you with next steps.
